I read pages on wine reviews to get Scott's descriptions right.
Studies with wine tasting have produced pretty entertaining results. Blind tasting results are totally different than results where the tasters see the bottle label / notes. The same wine placed into two different labels will usually get very different reviews. Many tasters will describe a red wine in very different terms than a white wine very differently, even when it's the same wine with food coloring. And when you switch the glasses in a comparison between cheap and expensive wine, the cheap wine will be highly praised while the expensive wine is condemned as inferior.
